CETP Unnao has got several Honours/Awards from Jounalist Association of Unnao/U.P. and various NGOs.
Unnao Tanneries Pollution Control Company (UTPCC) is a section 25 company constituted for the main objective of prevention and control of pollution in the leather processing sector & its allied industries by setting up ETP’s / CETP’s in various industrial clusters.
The CETP Unnao is setup in an area of apporx 20000 sq.m. and connecting to its member units through an underground network of conveyance system. All the memberunits are also having their PETPs adequate to treat their wastewater primarily up to the standards prescribed by U.P. State Pollution Control Board Lucknow andalso as per one of the conditions of Agreement with the member units for membership into the CETP.
2.15 MLD CETP & it's upgraded module of 2.35 MLD CETP installed under IIUS of Govt of India has been under operation since October 2013 at full load as per directions of UPPCB to ensure treated effluent well within the prescribed norms of UPPCB. As per policy of CETP’s Board, no production capacities are increased by any member unit and the upgraded module is only serving in series to additionally treat the effluent from its old module and adequately handle the peak loads if any sometimes or during maintenance in the old module.
UPTCC is dumping its solid waste into a Secured Land Facility at UPSIDC leather Technology Park Banthar Unnao.
UTPCC is monitoring individual Chrome Recovery Plants of each user industry of CETP except the defaulter tannery Iqbal Leather limited.
User industries of CETP also monitor primary ETPs of member units which are installed to treat the effluent up to the desired standards of UPPCB before discharging their trade effluent into the CETP.
